For many years Rotary Clubs in Bendigo have delivered a knitting program where a large number of knitters from across Victoria produce garments for mothers and babies.
 
The Bendigo Rotary Club independently coordinates this program and partners with BMFC to transport the knitting bales to Melbourne for shipment to Timor Leste. The distribution of the knitted goods is managed by Rotarians in Dili who allocate them according to the needs in Maubisse and other villages and clinics across Timor Leste.
