The origins of the scholarship program lie in the identification by local Maubisse leaders in 2015 of the need to keep students, particularly girls, at school in the later years (years 10,11 and 12). This was based on the fact that widespread disadvantage for many Maubisse families frequently prevented students from achieving their educational aspirations in high school, and particularly further on to university.

High School Student Scholarship

A donation of $145 per year covers full annual education expenses incurred for fees, books and school uniforms.

BMFC is a registered Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) and all donations over $2 are fully tax deductible. A receipt indicating tax deductibility will be generated and emailed to donors.
